[Nov 19, 2024] Our standard logic compatible embedded flash memory IP was integrated into the compute-in-memory macro for energy efficient AI acceleration and its silicon result was presented in a research paper led by our joint-research partner, KAIST, titled “A 639.38GOPS Hybrid-Domain Logic-Compatible Multi-Level Embedded Flash Computing-in-Memory Macro with Spike-Edge Computation”, in IEEE ASSCC 2024.

[Jan 12, 2024] SEMIBRAIN has been granted a patent by the USPTO for its standard logic-compatible embedded flash memory IP product. This patented technology (US Patent 11,862,227) marks a successful transformation of the company's university-oriented technologies into commercially deployed solutions. It significantly extends the lifetime of the embedded flash memory and offers a low-power solution during idle mode.

[May 1, 2023] Our embedded Flash technology has been acknowledged in recent collaborative research works and published in DATE 2023, titled "System-Level Simulator of eFlash-Based Compute-in-Memory Accelerators for Convolutional Neural Networks", and in CICC 2023, titled “A 333 TOPS/W Logic-Compatible Multi-Level Embedded Flash Compute-in-Memory Macro with Dual-Slope computation”

[Aug 4, 2022] SEMIBRAIN received an award from Fabless Challenge sponsored by Samsung Foundry and Korean Ministry of SMEs and Startups. [June 1, 2021] SEMIBRAIN awarded charge-storage based Processing-in-Memory (PiM) research and development contract from Ministry of Science and ICT (max 5,000,000,000 won) along with its partners in academia and industry from 2021 to 2024. More information can be found here.
